" I am writing to thank McEnearney Associates, and particularly Marcia Bowlds, for the extraordinary job she did in selling my property on Veitch Street in Arlington. I have attempted to sell the property through realtors three times in the past, most recently in 2001, but not had any luck. This time I determined to do it myself, taking advantage of a hot market. I had the property on the market for six weeks, and held an open house. i had two contracts, both of which failed because the buyers could not get financing. At the open house I realized that I was not getting qualified buyers, just interested neighbors and young people who did not have the resources to buy the property. The best thing that came out of the open house was Marcia. She introduced herself and offered some well considered, professional advice on what it would take to sell. I signed with Marcia the following day (a Sunday). There was a lot of work to be done to get the property in shape and get the marketing material together, but Marcia had it on the market by Tuesday afternoon and an open house set for the following Sunday. The Open House generate two bonafide offers, and the highest bidder won. So, Marcia accomplished in a little over a week what I had not been able to accomplish in six. But the best part is that even with the six percent fee, I realized a higher return than I would have had I sold it myself, and I was spared the many hassles that go with selling a property. I can assure you if I ever decide to sell my other house in Arlington, I will list it with Marcia."

" After months of intensive searching, I bought my new home solely due to the market knowledge, persistence and advocacy of realtor Marcia Bowlds. From our first meeting she was quickly attuned to my requirements and came to understand, even better than I did, what properties might work or not for my family. She spent countless hours searching listings and previewing houses on my behalf, not to mention the many Saturdays and weekday mornings she spent touring properties with me. Despite the prolonged search, Marcia never allowed me to settle for anything less than my "dream house." And in that time she helped me learn the ins and outs of the real estate industry through her solid, professional advice. This education allowed me to move quickly yet confidently to win my property when Marcia found it -- even before it went on the market. From a personal standpoint, Marcia is an absolute delight to work with. She is genuinely invested in her clients and takes tremendous joy in helping them achieve their goals. And her equally friendly and straightforward approach with other agents have earned her a strong reputation in Arlington. I truly can't recommend Marcia highly enough to anyone considering a home purchase or sale. She will be your greatest ally. "
