As a real estate agent, I get all kinds of questions from clients. It's my job to help, and it's my responsibility to make sure I give you good advice - not sales talk. In fact, I've built my career on fulfilling the role of trusted advisor. That is why so much of my business is referrals from others I have represented. I offer a people-oriented approach combined with comprehensive market knowledge.
Continuing education through seminars and workshops keeps me on the leading edge of the market data and statistics that will affect your transaction. Working with a business coach in a national coaching club gives me a wide range of contacts and referral agents throughout the world.
My professional advice stems from over 20 years in the business and over 45 years living and volunteering in the communities I serve. I grew up in a foreign service family that lived in Falls Church and McLean between overseas assignments. After college at Mary Washington University, I decided to make this area my home. I am licensed in Virginia, and I work with buyers and sellers from Alexandria to Leesburg, with particular focus on Arlington, Falls Church, McLean, and Vienna.
Living so close to Washington has meant a lot to my family. I cherish the experiences the Washington area has to offer, and I share that enthusiasm with clients in every listing and housing search.
I believe in giving back to a community that's been such an amazing place to call home. After years of involvement at my children's schools, I continued to volunteer for the All Night Grad party. I've sponsored Brian's 5K, a run/walk in supports of a McLean High School graduate who was paralyzed in a swimming accident and I flat-out love grocery shopping for the St. Charles Food Pantry in Arlington.
I also believe in giving back to my clients; after all, you're the ones who keep me busy doing what I love. My annual client brunch and gift is one way to say thank you to the 90-plus people who attend and is a great chance for growing circles of friends to catch up at least once year. My thanksgiving pie giveaway is always a fun way to thank clients for their business and referrals, and this year I plan on giving clients the option of donating their pies to a local shelter or food bank.
All in all, I am grateful to have a job I love and for the opportunity to help good people find a wonderful home in the right place!

" Martha is wonderful. When we wanted to look for a condo for our son, a friend recommended Martha to us and boy, did she deliver! She found just the right kind of apartments we were looking for and knew all about the building and was able to guide us to places that were better matches to our needs. Unfortunately, we had the worse experience with our mortgage company and anything and everything that could go wrong, did. Yet Martha was there every step of the way, helping to nudge the company in the right direction, keeping them on task, assisting us when the appraisal came back $37K less than the sales price, locating a great title company whose owner was able to negotiate the outstanding liens we found out about less than a week before closing, etc. It was a nightmare.
