I entered into the corporate profession of real estate long before becoming a Realtor with a strong desire to help others navigate the complicated processes of buying or selling a home through real estate law firm work. I realize that for many, a home is often the most expensive purchase he/she/they will make in life.  I am empathetic with the stresses of preparing a residence for sale and work very hard to minimize the difficulties inherent in the process.

My clients are my priority, and because I have been a Realtor in agency now for 15 years, it's my experience of 27 years in real estate that has guided me in fulfilling  my clients' expectations.  They are to assist them with everything about their home sale or purchase and my goal.  I will ensure that negotiations are sound and straightforward, and I am obligated to seamless transaction coordination with honesty, integrity and professionalism being of the utmost importance to me. 

A strong suit of mine, based on years of successful home sales and an inherent intuition or gift, is that of prepping a home with advice to my clients on my listings as well as personally staging the home to appeal to the potential buyer pool.  My clients have been so pleased, and this is a service I provide at no additional charge . . . unless furniture has to be brought in.  Whether you need contract negotiation advice, staging assistance before you sell or me to list your home . . . my background is strong and unique.

From our first consult with Mary where she detailed the present real estate market conditions, detailed thoughts on our home, and what comparable homes were out there, to our settlement day, Mary was on top of everything! Our decision to sell was a quick one and happened just a couple of weeks before our long time planned 2 week vacation abroad. Each of the contractors and businesses she referred to us were great to work with including plumbers, electricians, painters, movers, power washers, etc. Finally, our prep and staging work was completed and the sign went in our yard the Friday night before leaving for vacation the next day. Long story short, all of the prep and advice paid off. We had an excellent offer on our home in just 3 short days. Since we were out of the country at the time, Mary stayed on top everything as things were moving quickly. She communicated with us via calls, texts, and email. The purchasers wanted a quick turnaround and asked to have all inspections completed in short order (home, well, water quality, pool, pest, septic) and wanted to settle in just three weeks time from offer. While we were very happy with the offer occurring so quickly, it made us very nervous that we still had 1.5 weeks of vacation left and would not be at home to facilitate all of the inspections and to pack up a 5500 square foot home with 17 years of accumulated “things.” No problem for Mary. She assured us we could get this done and she jumped right in to help with the buyers and getting all the inspections completed and providing us status on which was occurring and when, as well as the results. Meanwhile, she put us on to her contact at a local moving company who we could tee up to help with packing and moving our household items upon our return. In the end, everything worked out perfectly for us and we know we were very fortunate. Indeed there may have been some good fortune involved, but certainly, we had the good fortune of working with Mary who greatly advised, coordinated, and reassured us throughout the process. " We decided to sell our home in Fairfax and purchase a brand new home in Ashburn, Virginia.
