Bluemont

Bluemont is located about an hour west of Washington, D.C. at the base of Snickers Gap near the Blue Ridge Mountains. Bluemont marked the farthest reach of the rail network that was established in the late 19th century and connected communities with the District. In 1984, Bluemont was placed on the National Register of Historic Places.
