Description

Stunning modern renovation in Old Town's desirable SE quadrant. Tucked away in the private enclave of Waterford, this exceptional garage townhome has been artfully redesigned using the finest materials and craftsmanship - including a professionally designed lighting scheme throughout. The dramatic foyer with exposed brick walls and custom designed floating shelf flows seamlessly into the inviting family room. Here you'll find one of three sleek fireplaces reimagined to reflect the home's modern aesthetic; designer lighting including recessed lights, sconces and a statement wall sculpture by LeDeun; and sliding doors lead to the private brick patio. A renovated powder room with touchless commode completes this level. Upstairs, the renovated gourmet kitchen separates the exquisite formal spaces allowing for ultimate flow. An eye catching Moooi chandelier serves as the focal point for the spacious dining room complete with custom wall-mounted side board and plantation shutters. Living room highlights include a minimalist wood-burning fireplace, tucked away built-ins, and sliding glass doors leading to the Juliet balcony. Three generous bedrooms and three full bathrooms encompass the upper levels. The owners suite features a third wood-burning fireplace, three spacious closets with built-ins, and renovated bathroom with floating double vanity, frameless glass shower, and vanity mirror with integrated led lighting. With Old Town's vibrant waterfront and King Street shops and restaurants literally steps away, your car may never leave the garage. Driveway in front of garage allows for tandem parking.

Old Town

Welcome to historic Old Town, Alexandria. Founded in 1749, Old Town is a place rich with colonial charm. This is the heart of the City of Alexandria. Going back in time, one might have caught a glimpse of a middle-aged George Washington riding his horse up to Christ Church on the corner of Washington and Cameron Streets. Years later, Old Town became the childhood home of famed Confederate General Robert E. Lee. A slew of other notable names from both Virginia and American History add to Old Town’s lore.

Located on the western bank of the Potomac River, Old Town played an important role in the growth of our nation. It is no surprise that Old Town grew to prominence as a well-traveled port city under both British and U.S. rule. Like the rest of the communities in the City of Alexandria, the development of Old Town is tied closely to its proximity to the nation’s capital.

Since the colonial period, Old Town has established itself as a diverse cultural center and bastion of American trade, commerce, and industry.

Quality of Life:

Old Town brings you to the doorstep of colorful row houses on tree-lined streets dotted with gas lamps and cobblestone walks. Old Town is a desirable place to call home for those with an active social calendar. A wide variety of restaurants, coffee shops, art galleries, as well as boutique and retail stores, leave plenty to the imagination and ample opportunity to enjoy the finer things in life. Walk down to the Potomac and enjoy the fireworks on the Fourth of July, or bundle up for the holiday tree lighting in December. An Old Town resident would be hard-pressed to run out of things to do.

Getting Around:

Old Town is located just south of D.C. and occupies the southernmost part of the City of Alexandria. Route 1 and the George Washington Parkway (Washington Street) run through Old Town, while Washington's Beltway, I-495 is seconds away. The King Street Metro and Braddock Road Metro Stations are easily accessible and there is a free trolley service that runs from the King Street Metro Station down to the waterfront. DASH bus services are also available. Reagan National Airport is right up the road.

Airports:

Ronald Reagan National Airport:  < 5 miles.
Washington-Dulles International Airport:  < 35 miles.
Baltimore-Washington International Airport:  < 40 miles.
